If your HALO® BassiNest® 4.0 is not holding its set height or is slowly descending after adjustment, the height adjustment mechanism may need to be tightened.

How to Fix a HALO BassiNest 4.0 That Won't Stay at the Desired Height

What You'll Need

Phillips #2 screwdriver

Step 1: Lower the BassiNest

Adjust the BassiNest to its lowest height setting.

Step 2: Open the Height Adjustment Lever

Open the height adjustment lever located on the height adjustment mechanism.

Note: The lever may feel tight when opening or closing. This is normal and is designed to help keep the BassiNest securely in place.

Step 3: Tighten the Adjustment Screw

Using a Phillips #2 screwdriver, tighten the screw located in the center of the height adjustment mechanism.

Start by tightening the screw 1-2 full rotations.
Do not overtighten initially.

Step 4: Set Your Desired Height

Adjust the BassiNest to your preferred height.

Step 5: Close the Height Adjustment Lever

Close the height adjustment lever completely.

Again, some resistance is expected when closing the lever.

Step 6: Test the Height Lock

Gently apply downward pressure to the sides of the BassiNest to confirm the height adjustment is secure.

If the height remains in place, your BassiNest is ready to use.
If the BassiNest continues to descend, repeat the process and tighten the adjustment screw an additional 1-2 rotations.
